March 7, 2019. Singer/songwriter Craig Wedren, former frontman for post-punk luminaries Shudder to Think, had an art opening for his photography book, My '90s, a collection of photos taken in the early 1990s on his beloved Polaroid Spectra camera.

The exhibit was held at a venue in San Francisco's Tenderloin district, roughly the size of a large, walk-in closet. Attendees squeezed into the space and overflowed onto the sidewalk to see Craig perform that night, a short, intimate set of songs both old and new. I arrived early and secured an indoor position.

Mimicking Craig's own photographs on display, I decided to shoot the show as in-camera multiple exposures, and later cropped the images to a square format.
